This rare collection of works by Petrus van der Velden have never before been offered for sale, having been held in the family of Timaru based friend of the van der Velden, Walter Scott Blaikie since painted. Cherry Baby was a gift to Walter directly from the artist and includes an original letter from the artist where it is referred to as Cherry Baby.
