Artist Biography

Christine Webb

(b. 1954, Sydney)

In 2017 International Art Centre introduced the vibrant contemporary oil paintings of Christine Webb to the New Zealand market. For many years she divided her time between studios in Sydney and Umbria, exhibiting with much success in both hemispheres. Christine studied at Sydney University's College of the Arts before embarking on a dynamic creative career as art director, publisher, journalist and award-winning photographer. For over 20 years she has worked as a full-time professional artist.

An accomplished painter of still-life and figurative oils, Christine’s recent focus has been on her favourite and familiar French and Italian ports-of-call. This has translated into the creation of the well received Matisse, Cap Ferrat and Amalfi Series of paintings. Her work appears in both private and corporate collections worldwide.
