Birds of Little Barrier

New Zealand's bird life is unique, as are the works of cubist painter Timon Maxey. Initially inspired by the the nature reserve of Little Barrier Island Timon's quest for subjects enthusiastically expanded to encompass both the North and South Islands of New Zealand. Extensive travels and research has resulted in an outstanding offering of ornithological originals painted from a contemporary cubist perspective.

How refreshing it is to see an artist truly marching to the 'beat of his own drum' and in a world awash with 'sameness' tapping into his own original creativity. When an artist has the talent and courage to do so the artistic achievement is one of enrichment.
