Kiwi Tapestry
Timon Maxey enjoyed capturing - by brushstroke - the shy, North Island Brown Kiwi. Noctural, and more often heard than seen, the male Kiwi gives a high-pitched ascending whistle, while the female gives a deeper call. Dark brown, streaked lengthways with reddish brown and black, this precious species does well in the protected environment of Little Barrier Island.
