This work embodies many elements which set Lawrence Leitch's work apart. The artist's accomplished mastery of detail is conveyed in his own unique use of acrylics and glazes. The painting takes its title from the two featured seagulls; one surveys the scene and his 'crew member' from the vantage point the dingy's bow while his companion gazes at his reflection. The shoreline, white-capped waves and the softly diffused horizon are captured to perfection by Lawrence Leitch.
