It's a great time in the gallery as works begin to arrive from our invited artists for our annual Les Femmes Exhibition.

These small Italian paintings of joyful travel in the age of hot air balloons, transports us to St Marks Square, Venice, over the Duomo, Florence, towards the Leaning Tower of Pisa and into the Colosseum, Rome. Carlo Mirabasso's latest collection of exceptional ceramics are adorned with the joyful symbols of Umbria and her sister region Toscana. Senior Milanese artist Paolo Canetti presents a collection of contemporary works capturing the Italian lifestyle in his own unique style and palette.

From earliest times artists have been fascinated by the vital element of water. The water-bearer appears in the art of classical Greece and Rome signifying industry, abundance and beauty. Renaissance master Leonardo da Vinci spent a life time drawing water in motion. The Impressionists, radically capturing the effects of light, gifted the world with paintings such as Renoir's Boating Party and Monet's Waterlillies.
