Carlo Mirabasso
(b. 1959, Italy)
In 1979 Mirabasso received his Diploma, Liceo Artistico Ripetta in Rome and during the1980's worked in advertising design and illustration. In the early 1990's he began painting his first metaphysical compositions on traditional wooden panels, developing a uniquely personal, pictorial style. A professional artist since 1996, Mirabasso is a master ceramicist and painter. From his Umbrian studio, close to the Unesco site of Assisi and the frescoes of Giotto, he finds endless inspiration.
Mirabasso’s work is interwoven with references and backdrops of Renaissance and medieval symbolism and architecture. His paintings are stylish, original and enchanting with wide appeal. Exhibitions have been held throughout Italy, with shows in Rome, Milan, Verona, Brescia, Vicenza, Padova and further afield in Marbella and New York. Carlo is represented exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere by International Art Centre.
