About The Artist
Eugenea
Eugenea creates works of unparalleled beauty - a rigorous academic training, talent and imagination are all part of the creative mix
About The Artist
Franco Anselmi
In true Venetian fashion, the modern day frescoes of Franco Anselmi were celebrations of colour often highlighted by gold. The subject matter was uniquely his own and the humour and joy embodied in his paintings is his legacy
About The Artist
Carlo Mirabasso
A merging of modern, stylised forms with classical/medieval references - resulting in uniquely Italian ceramics and artworks
About The Artist
Patterson Parkin
Patterson reduces figures and musicality into unique works of art awash with colour and imbued with balance and harmony
From time immemorial the female form has inspired, fascinated, captivated and eluded artists. The most well known painting in the world is of a woman, and whether we are viewing a Leonardo, a Picasso or an Andrew Wyeth, more often than not, the feminine is acknowledged.
Les Femmes is an exhibition featuring the diverse works of seven leading New Zealand and international artists joyfully continuing this artistic tradition. From the Madonna's of Italian based, Franco Anselmi to the stunning contemporary portraits of Philip Holmes, feminine strength, beauty and mystique is celebrated.
